Peanut Butter Cup Crunch Fudge!

Hi everyone! Let me just start out with saying how excited I am to be participating in my first blog recipe contest! Hosted by COOKIESANDCUPS and CONFESSIONSOFACOOKBOOKQUEEN! These happen to be some of my FAVORITE blogs that I check regularly to read their fun and yummy recipies and funny stories! So anyways when I first decided that I wanted to enter this contest I brainstormed and brainstormed and went through all their recipes, trying to come up with all these ideas of what to make. Let me tell you it was not easy! As my family might say that’s not a shocker cause I don’t make up my mind easily. I take a good long time to think it through. Some might call it over thinking but I like to think of it as thinking of all the possibilities! 😉 anyways I wrote down a list of ideas for both cookies and cups and confessions of a cookbook queen’s recipes. Their were alot of recipies! Then I decided that maybe I wouldn’t do it, but then I was looking at all the cute and creative entries already people had linked up and I was certain that I wanted to participate in this great opportunity! And then more brainstorming and thinking came along, debates and whether to’s and whether not’s. Then I saw a picture of fudge on a blog and then naturally was hungry for fudge! I mean who wouldn’t be or is it just me? when ever you see a mouth watering picture i have the desire to make that recipe! Don’t you? See I knew It wasn’t just me! So back to my recipe, get this, you ready? I finally decided what to make for the contest!  Drum roll please! FUDGE!!! Now moving on to the next decision what to add on to the fudge? Cause you know good ol’ chocolatey, rich, sweet, gooey, creamy, yummy fudge isn’t good enough by itself? Well heck ya it is! I’d eat it out of the bowl before it set if I wasn’t the proper young lady I am! who would never do such a thing!:D (hehehehehe) but this is a creative contest where you put your own twist on one of the many scrumptious recipes COOKIESANDCUPS and CONFESSIONSOFACOOKBOOKQUEEN have on their cute blogs! Plain old fudge would not cut it so I thought of what recipe to adapt from? And of course i thought of my favorite combination chocolate and PEANUT BUTTER!! yep thats right PEANUT BUTTER! I’f you haven’t noticed from my other blog posts I LOVE peanut butter! Ask any one I know they’ll probably tell you I’m crazy or wacky for it ‘ cause they may or may not have caught me eating a spoonful of peanut butter before. It’s just so yummy! Not that I’m admitting to anything!!:) well you know how that saying goes right? Something like Peanut butter is a girls best friend? Whats that your thinking? That’s not how it goes? Hahaha:D 

    So now I had the idea going, now which out of their many delicious peanut buttery recipes to choose from? Hmm…more debating and asking my wise moms opinion. Then I remembered a recipe similar to my moms that is one of my families personal favorites ” Peanut Butter Crack Brownies” ! They are amazingly amazing!! So I substituted the FUDGE for the brownie.  I used the best fudge in the world  my moms!! One thing I don’t know if you guys know is my mom is the best chef and baker ever! She inspires me so much and I love her 10000000000000( infinity) and more times than I love her food and peanut butter!! Shes amazing and pretty and sweet and kind and the best mom! I love you mom! 😀
Anyways back to the FUDGE and the PEANUT BUTTER! So now picture this …….. Amazing rich, thick fudge with a layer of mini REESE’S cups, and a layer of a melted chocolate peanut butter rice Krispy mixture! I think I here your tummy grumbling! Am I right?? 🙂
So here is the recipies for the fudge:
FAVORITE FUDGE! ( from <—-my mamma’s amazing blog! 🙂
½ cup butter
3 cup sugar
1 can (13 oz.) evaporated milk
2 pkg. milk chocolate chips
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow crème
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Bring butter, sugar and milk to a full rolling boil in heavy 4 quart saucepan, stirring constantly.  Boil 5 minutes on medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.  Remove from heat.  Gradually stir in chocolate chips until melted.  Add remaining ingredients through vanilla; beat until well blended. Pour entire mixture into a greased 13″ x 9” pan. Cool; cut into squares.
 The next layer is super duper easy! After spreading your fudge into 13″ x 9″ pan ( you can use smaller pans if you want to have more to give to friends:) or you can keep it all for yourrself:D) sprinkle chopped up pieces of Reese’s cups, or you can use the mini ones like me it still helps to chop them up a little bit so its evenly distributed all over the fudge:)
    And for the top layer of even more awesomeness I used both COOKIESANDCUPS ” Peanut Butter Cup Crack Brownies” recipe and APRONSTRINGSCHEF’s “Snap Crackle P.B. Brownies” recipe for the yummy crunchy P. B. topping. Here’s basically what you need:
Yummy Crunchy P.B. Layer
– 1 bag of milk chocolate
– 2 cup of Rice Krispies (you can add a little less if you want depending on how crunchy you like it:)
– 1cup of PEANUT BUTTER! (oh ya!)
 In a sauce pan melt the chocolate and P.B. on medium heat. Stir until smooth and completely melted. Take off of heat and add in your Rice Krispies. Stir until it is well mixed. And then carefully add your crunchy good stuff to you fudge. Now remember the fudge isn’t set yet so be careful when spreading it on.
Now for the hard part…..WAITING! I know right! It’s terrible! You just want to eat this chocolate P.B. crunch fudge all up! but you have to wait! Oh well it’s definitely worth the wait! 😀 Just put it in the fridge for a couple hours or even overnight.  I know! I know! overnight is a long time but hey on the bright side when you wake up you have a nutritious breakfast! I mean it has peanut butter and rice Krispies, those are nutritional right? 😀
So once cooled cut into square sizes to your liking and then the best part EAT! As Julia Childs would say “Bon Appetite!”

Homemade P.B. Cups!

So by now you guys should know how much i LOVE peanut butter! One of my all time favorite candy’s is a Reese’s cup (especially the holiday versions with the egg, hearts, pumpkins, trees, footballs, ect. i personally think they’re a little bit fresher tasting)! i mean who doesnt like the perfect combination of chocolate and PEANUT BUTTER!!! if you’re one of those people who DON”T like it well lets just be honest you’re crazy!! Well i guess i can understand if your allergic now that im thinking about it, one of the top allergies is peanuts so sorry if i just offened you peanut allergic people. your not crazy ! in fact I’m probably the one sounding ……….crazy 🙂 oh well crazy is a good thing! i think. anyways my point is peanut butter cups are awesome (unless your allergic then they’re deadly) !!!! Reese’s are so easy to make your own home made version of! and they’re so much fun to make and eat! you can even customize them by adding stuff in them or topping them with fun sprinkles to look pretty! one of my favorites is taking a gram cracker and breaking it into smaller pieces to stick inside the p.b. cup and let me tell you its A-m-a-z-i-n-g ! another one of my favorite treats is a chocolate, Peanut butter covered gram cracker! they’re amazing! so by sticking the bit of gram cracker in ,its like a mini delish version! Try it ,it’s so good!!!! anyways back to the main recipe here just  a simple p.b. cup and thats really what it is SIMPLE!!!!  plus they’re way healthier, especially if you use dark chocolate!


Chocolate Chips

Coconut oil

Peanut butter      ( unless your allergic )

* if desires add gram crackers, pretzels, etc.*

Step 1: In a microave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips in 30 sec intervals until melted .

Step 2: Stir melted chocolate and mix in some coconut oil. ( it creates a “magic shell” which basically hardens fast when cold)

Step 3: Use whatever size cupcake liners you want ,i prefer mini because i find its the perfect size! fill the bottom and try to coat the sides with chocolate. then put in freeze to harden.

Step 4: Take out after a few minutes, then place a preferred amount of P.B. in the center and top with more chocolate. (before placing top chocolate coat put in desired gram cracker anything else). Place in freezer for a few minutes to harden.

Step 5: Take out of freezer and pop one in your mouth to enjoy!

Easylicous P.B. Cookies!!

P.B. cookies

I dont know about you guys but I LOVE peanut butter!!!!  You can eat peanut butter in so many different ways such as with an apple, with celery, in a PB & J sandwich,  in a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, with pretzels,or with gram crackers, or just by it self!( not that i’ve done that before…….:)) but the next time you are craving that creamy, yummy, delsih peanut butter try these easy 4 ingredient cookies!! I promise you, you will NOT regret it! Now that your thinking about them, can’t you just taste that warm, soft, yummy, peanutbuttery cookie!! I know I can! and unlike you i can actually taste and bite into one of these decadent cookies! hahahaha sorry not trying to rub it in your face or anything:D ok maybe i am:) but you too can soon bite into one or two of these decadent cookies, all you have to do is follow this SIMPLE recipe!


1cup of yummy Peanut Butter!

1 cup powder sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 egg

* if desired use CHOCOLATE to top it off!*

STEP 1: Preheat oven for 375 degrees.  Gather all ingredients and properly measure  into a bowl.

Step 2: Use a hand beater to combine all ingredients together ’til it looks well combined.

Step 3: I used a small cookie scoop ( but feel free to use what ever! hey a gigantic PB cookie doesn’t sound like a bad idea) to scoop 2 rows of 4 on a lined cookie sheet.

Step 4: Put in oven for 10 minutes (or longer depending on oven )

Step 5 :If desired to top with chocolate nows the time to put it on top so it can melt.  Let cool for 5 minutes, before eating. ( i know,  i know in cookie time thats forever! but its for the best! i find that while those long minutes pass by that time flies when you nibble on any extra chocolate 🙂 )

Step 6: Once it’s been 5 minutes( finally!!!) ENJOY!! personally i consider the serving size 2 or 3 or however many your in a mood for!

Easter Speckled Egg Cake

Hi everyone! Sorry its been forever since i last posted, actually now that i think about it, its been a year! Yikes!!! So much has happened since then!!
Happy late easter!! This past weekend being EAster, i made an Easter cake! Somewhere online i saw a speckled egg cake and thought it was supper cute! and instantly wanted to make it! and guess what i did! its really simple basically all you need is a really yummy cake and frosting  recipe, ( i used the BEST white cake from<—–this is the best blog ever!! she has the yummiest recipes that you’ll love!!!photo-8

FIRST: Get your recipes from!!!!
SECOND: Follow all the instructions to make icing and bake cake.
THIRD: Let cake cool, and place on a pretty cake stand using a tad bit of frosting in the middle of the stand to secure the cake from moving.
FOURTH: Use  sky blue food coloring to tint the frosting( remember a little goes a long way:)). And frost the cake(if prefer crumb-coat cake first) . Place frosted cake in fridge.
FIFTH: For the chocolate paint you can either use 1tbs of cocoa powder and 1 1/2 tbs vanilla mixed together or you could simply just use melted chocolate.
SIXTH: Now heres the messy yet FUN part! Use a kitchen brush ( i used the silicone kind) and dip it into your chocolate paint. Then you can really just fling it at the cake creating a speckled look. Your done when ever you feel your speckeled egg cake is speckled enough to your liking! also you may want to lay something out on you counter because this does get messy!  don’t forget an apron!
SEVENTH: Top the cake with eggs! you can use plastic or even hardboiled but personal id go with any chocolate form! Such as Reese’s egg, snicker eggs, or Cadbury creme eggs:) i LOVE candy!

Eighth: the most important step.  EAT AND ENJOY!!!!!
